Oramala.
An impressive stronghold
made of local stone,
dominating the whole
of the valley is all that remains of a
once mighty castle, reconstructed after
the original fortress, going back to the
year one thousand, was destroyed. The
marquises of Malaspina reached the apex
of their splendour
in the XII and XIII
centuries and hosted poets from Provence
at their court.
